Fielding Langford Caroline Christena Bocker

Welcome to our site about the family, ancestors, and descendants of Fielding Langford, and related lines. Fielding Langford was born on October 24, 1804 at Crab Orchard, Lincoln County, Kentucky. He was a son of Walker Langford (Lankford) and Mary Warren. Fielding married Sarah Bethurum in 1830. She was a daughter of David P. Bethurum and Margaret Kincaid, and she was born about 1809 near Mt. Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. Mt. Vernon is just a few miles from Crab Orchard.

The young couple migrated to Indiana in the early 1830s. In 1843, Fielding Langford joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and moved in 1846 to the Mormon city of Nauvoo, Illinois. In 1850, Fielding was living in Green Township, Platte County, Missouri, and in 1852 he and his family came to Utah with a company of Mormon pioneers. Sarah died on November 12, 1863 and is buried at Malta, Cassia County, Idaho.

About two years later, on April 12, 1865, Fielding Langford married Caroline Christena Bocker in Salt Lake City. Caroline Bocker was born on September 15, 1847 in Elsingborg, Lowden, Sweden, the daughter of John Erick Bocker and Patronella Ulricka. Their marriage ended in divorce. Fielding Langford died in August 1882 and was buried west of Oakley, Idaho. Caroline Christena later married a Mr. Newville. She died on August 8, 1923 and was buried at Reed Point, Stillwater, Montana.
